Protocool version?? plz help

Hi,

I was a die hard cs fan. But when 1.6 began i quited. No i have seen that you can play 1.5 again. I installed everything but i get this error message



What must i do, to play my beloved cs 1.5???

Upgrade your copy of CS to 1.0.0.5, that will fix it. You can find it on any good download site, such as filefront.

Then you can reinstall our patches.

Thanks, i found the patch you told me. And i tried to install it but them i get this error:



I didn't choose any kind of language, but where can i change it?

Slayed assumed you're using the retail version of Counter-Strike. If you have installed it the 'common' way (off CD) that error shouldn't pop up, so you probably got Half-Life with CS 1.5 installed as a MOD.

To fix this, download and install the Half-Life v1.1.1.0 full update (hl1110.exe). Then install the CS 1.5 MOD package (csv15full.exe) and any other patches and updates from us you may have had installed.

I would try it again to see if the problem has gone away. If it doesn't work, try another server to see if the problem is the server and not you. If that doesn't work, ask again here.

Scroll down a long way, past those servers with numbers for names.

And yes, thought you meant the retail version of CS. But at least that problem is solved.

If the non-175XXX servers give you errors, check the usual stuff, like firewalls, ports, all that good stuff.

It's working finally! Had to play with the firewall but it's working nice now.
Only some servers kick me because of a pldecal.wad error, whats that all about?


Are there any good dutch servers up and running? Because the most i can get are the French en Chinese....

pldecal.wad is the file that stores your (and everyone else's) spray. Could you post the full error from the console? Use the condump command to dump the text from the console into a text file.

As for Dutch servers, my best suggestion is to order the server list by ping. The servers at the top of the list will most likely be more local. And, not French.
