Problem with Counterstrike Launcher

Hallo there.

I found my old Counterstrike Retail CD and decided, that it would be coul to play CS 1.5. So i followed all the steps, installes CS Retail, Update, and the WON-Patch and it works.

But i have an other problem, maybe sombody can help me.

Everytime i join a CS-Server after loading, in the moment i should join the server CS crashes and i get a windows error "Counterstrike Launcher doesn´t work any more..

I don´t know why this happens. I run Window7 (64 bit), maybe a problem? But the games is working unter Windows7.

Does anybody have an idea?

Generic Windows errors are my very favourite.

When you say "it works" I assume you mean you can retrieve the server list? That's certainly a start. My guess is video related. Have you tried going into configuration, then video, then video modes, and trying a different renderer? For example, if it is set to OpenGL, then change it to D3D, etc. Software doesn't seem to work for me under Windows 7 x64. OpenGL works fine though.

The "cs launcher" stops working when i connect ot a server after downloading and loading, exactly in the moment i would join the game.

I will test to change the video modes... today... after work.
