News concerning Steamless CS Project and it's projects and services

*UPDATE #2* Well, it seems to be official. FileFront is changing hands, but will remain operational. Let's hope it stays that way. */UPDATE #2* *UPDATE* FileFront is still running, though word is various links are down. The good news in a group from the FileFront forums have backed up everything hosted on FileFront and have plans to host them all elsewhere. It's not ready yet (check ModDB for updates on this BTW), but it seems that we're not going to lose much. */UPDATE* FileFront is closing its doors on March 30th. FileFront hosts just about every download link moddb has to offer, and its departure will wipe clean a lot of mods. You have until the 30th to archive anything you want, so get downloading, archivers. http://software.filefront.com/Half-Life ... ation.html

That sucks, Obama isn't and will not and CAN NOT help the economy at all. Hope is not here. He only brought about this illusion of hope and change to get elected, and the people ate it up like they always do. Sheep!
Anyways, since I am the best archiver in the universe, I will help download this Half-Life content, and upload it to planetwon2.net where it will remain safe for a long time to come.

Errr, this isn't really so much of a political thread as it is a thread to let people know to download stuff. Political threads tend to cause lotsa problems on a board, which is why we don't have them.
That and because most of the users are in Europe.

I just had to get that out. It doesn't look like it hurt anyone.
Oh and by the way, it should matter to people in Europe because the U.S. is the economic leader of the world, and pretty much the leader of the world period. So what happens economically in the U.S. directly affects the European union and the whole world.
/end political discussion of thread

I suppose technically it's not a problem if no one takes the bait, but right now I'm too busy filling up my hard drive to worry about it.

There are so many old mods on there that need to be saved. Like mods from the original days of WON, and even from 1998!
Please save them rguest. What I am going to do is I am going to download what I can, pack it in one huge zip file, and then see if transistor can upload it to his server at planetwon2.net
P.S: I'm seeing weird messages in my outbox folder. That's weird.

Please tell me what this is, and why I have it.

Hello Sl@y3D,
I was wondering why I keep getting e-mails saying that I have a pm on the steamless forum from 1shot1deag. Everytime I get the e-mail telling me this, I go to see what the message is and there is nothing there to see. I go there today and the message I see today said that the message has been deleted by the author before it was delivered. I don't understand why 1shot1deag thinks rguest and I are sending him mean PMs. I haven't sent him any PMs at all. I haven't a clue as to what is going on here. Can anyone shed some light on this? As for the downloads, please everyone try to get as much as you can before everything is gone.

20 gigs.
20 gigs of mod files and the like. I'm not getting models or maps unless the files are really worth noting. Sorting through this will take some time.

It's called a trojan horse virus, so I can't do anything about it.
